Hens and Chicks 'Spring Beauty' is a bright green variety that will show the effects of too much water and/or not enough sun more readily than other varieties just because it is a fairly uniform green, and rotting foliage will be that much more apparent. Plant this variety along with some of the darker hens and chicks or sedums for a beautiful contrast in pots or in the ground. Deer tend to leave hens and chicks alone, and these succulents can easily handle benign neglect.
