Selaginella erythropus 'Sanguinea' Quart

Bathrooms often have low natural light, so it s tough to find plants that will survive such an environment. Consider €˜Ruby Red Club Moss as an option, as it loves the higher bathroom humidity and tolerates the low light well. This is a slow grower, and will thrive in terrariums as well as bathrooms. The red undersides of the leaves add wonderful color to an already attractive plant, and would partner nicely in a container planter with Peperomia. Club moss (aka Spike Moss) is pet-friendly, but one good chomp would probably spell the end of your plant!
Footnote: this variety of selaginella needs shade if grown in the outdoor summer garden, or at best, dappled sun, possibly morning sun. If the leaves begin to scorch, move it to a shadier spot outdoors or bring it inside. Too cold sensitive to live outside during the fall and winter, this club moss may be happier indoors year-round.
