Product Description
We often suggest sedums as ground covers for the under-irrigated areas of the garden that are sunny with rocky or poor soil, but the irony is, one rarely sees the low-growing stonecrops because they tend to be well, untended. Purple Broadleaf Stonecrop (aka Spoon-leaved Stonecrop) deserves higher visibility because it's just so darn cute. Growing about four inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, it is a great choice for an evergreen ground cover in sunny, well-draining soil. However, we love using it in succulent planters and hanging baskets where the silvery-blue to purple rosettes can be enjoyed up close. Clusters of small yellow flowers in early summer just add to its charm.
