Though technically in the same family as edible raspberries, this evergreen ground cover rarely forms berries.

Product Description

The botanical name has changed over the years (from Rubus pentalobus or calycinoides to Rubus hayata-koidzumii) , but the nature of Taiwan Creeping Berry, or Creeping Raspberry remains the same. A mounding evergreen ground cover reaching about 12 inches in height, it can eventually spread to five feet wide. The coarse-textured leaves turn a bronzy color during the cold months and turn a deep green as the weather warms. White flowers appear in the summer that may turn into salmon-colored berries. This is a great choice for sunny hillsides or retaining walls, and is not attractive to deer.
