Rhododendron 'Dreamland' 1 Gallon

Rhododendrons grow well in the Pacific NW and are greatly appreciated for their year-round good looks, easy care, and beautiful floral displays in the spring. 'Dreamland' is a dense, compact variety, averaging three to four feet tall and wide at about 10 years' time, with stunning deep pink buds opening to paler pink blooms. Rhodies definitely need sun to produce the most flowers, but protection from the late afternoon sun will keep them looking their best. Oregon State University grows 'Dreamland' as a hedge around the Memorial Union veranda, and it would be just as attractive as foundation shrubs in the garden, at the back of borders, or in large container planters. Deadheading the flowers after bloom will keep 'Dreamland' tidy and compact.
