Pilea 'Dark Mystery' Quart

When the outdoor weather becomes unfriendly, many gardeners turn to indoor gardening. Pileas are generally low-maintenance, pet-friendly houseplants, and offer a whole range of looks and growth habits. 'Dark Mystery' Pilea, aka Lizard Tails Pilea, is a tidy mound of serrated, chocolate brown to green leaves with silver striping along the length of the leaf. This particular variety is an excellent choice for group plantings, adding unique texture and coloring, while staying compact, about six to eight inches tall and wide. A well lit room and higher humidity will keep 'Dark Mystery' healthy and happy. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, and not as much in the winter.
