Product Description
Product Description
Japanese Andromedas are a wonderful group of evergreens with dense foliage and subtly fragrant, white flowers that grow in cascading panicles in early spring. They are a bit too slow-growing for some gardeners, but patience will be rewarded. 'Prelude' is a small variety that blooms a bit later than its cousins, forming a compact mound of lush green foliage not quite three feet tall and wide at maturity. New growth is tinted with pink then ages to a deep green. 'Prelude' is an excellent choice for container planters or smaller spaces of the garden. Though it prefers some protection from the sun during the hottest time of the day, pieris can handle full sun if watered regularly.
