Petunia 'Surprise Sparkle Red'

Gardeners were delighted when the "Sky" series of petunias added solid pink or purple blooms flecked randomly with white to the summer garden. We now have a red version in 'Surprise Sparkle Red' that provides that same fun, whimsical look in the warmer spectrum of summer annuals. This is a great option for those with shorter container planters as it can trail up to two feet after mounding slightly, fulfilling both the "filler" and "spiller" functions. These sun-lovers look their best when watered and fertilized regularly. A light haircut in late summer will prompt new growth and more blooms up until frost.
