This is the classic chili used for making chili rellenos - thick-walled, about 6" - 8" long, and mildly hot, only 500 to 2500 Scoville heat units.

Product Description

Anaheim pepper, aka New Mexico or California pepper, is a mildly hot, thick-walled pepper, used for making chili rellenos and when dried, is often the variety used for making strings of dried peppers common in New Mexico. Peppers can be used green, but they will turn a bright red when fully mature. Anaheim pepper plants will provide a fairly continuous supply of fruits throughout the summer months, provided they are given lots of sun and heat. Consider placing pepper plants next to a fence or cement/stone/brick wall so they benefit from reflected heat, especially if evening temps are cool.
