Peperomia 'Raisinet' 4 Inch

The identification of house plants can be challenging, especially when names are trademarked, so even though a plant may be identical to another in looks and growth, it may go by a different name. Peperomia 'Raisinet' appears to have the same qualities of Peperomia 'Schumi Red,' with red to burgundy heart-shaped crinkly leaves growing in a mound about a foot tall and wide. Whether the same plant or not, this little specimen will add color and textural interest to indoor planters, and partners well with succulent-like plants, as both require higher lighting and deep but infrequent watering for maximum growth. Peperomia are pet-friendly, but even a crinkly leafed plant such as 'Raisinet' will suffer if curious pets decide to sample its leaves.
