Evergreen, deer- and rabbit-resistant, tolerant of heavy clay soil and dry shade - 'Bad Hair Day' mondo grass was made for the Pacific NW!
Product Description
Product Description
When gardeners think of Mondo Grass, they usually envision narrow, upright, black blades of grass with stalks of pale lavender flowers. 'Bad Hair Day' is the exact opposite in so many ways! Narrow green blades form a tousle-haired clump about eight inches tall and eventually 10 inches wide. White flower stalks stand out in the summer, and morph into cobalt-blue berries in the fall. Tolerant of coastal conditions, dry shade, and heavy clay soils (sound familiar, metro-area Portland?), 'Bad Hair Day' Mondo grass is a year-round champ, making it a wonderful addition to garden borders, container planters, and hanging baskets.
