If grown in a planter, consider raising it up on a stand so its fronds can drape freely over the sides. Cat owners may wish to hang this air-purifying fern to keep the temptingly fluffy fronds out of reach, if only to protect the fern. Boston ferns are non-toxic to pets, but indiscriminate chewing will mar its good looks.
