Monstera 'Thai Constellation' 6 inch

Thai Constellation' monstera is a classic lesson in supply and demand. While mutations resulting in leaf variegation in monsteras can occur in the wild, they are rare and often will not replicate. Just as DeBeers controlled the diamond market (and thus prices) back in the 19th century, a laboratory in Thailand is the sole creator and distributor of tissue cultures for 'Thai Constellation' that are clones of existing plants. Distribution is limited, demand is high, and thus prices are out of this world. The variegation on this undeniably intriguing monstera resembles cream/white stars on a green background, with larger "chunks" of white or cream appearing on the large split leaves.
In order to maintain the stellar looks of this monstera, bright indirect light is a must, as is a higher humidity and deep watering only when the soil is dry. Too much water or sitting in water will most likely cause root rot, direct sun exposure will burn the leaves, and air that is too dry may cause leaves to brown and dry out. 'Thai Constellation' monstera is a climber, so provide support in the form of large stakes or a trellis. This variety is slow growing, but it could reach 16 feet tall and four feet wide at maturity.
