Prayer Plants are so called because the elegantly long leaves fold up at night, resembling praying hands, while laying flat during the day. Arching stems make it suitable for container planters or hanging baskets. Depending upon the exposure, Prayer Plant may send out small white flowers in the spring. Frankly, they're kind of messy and don't add much to the looks of this beautiful foliage, so don't hesitate to snip them out.
