Lobelia 'Lucia Dark Blue' 4 Inch

True blue flowers are often hard to find, but the Lobelia 'Lucia Dark Blue' may be the answer. Growing quickly into mounds of blue from late spring, this variety withstands the heat better than older varieties, and is an eye-catching addition to planters, hanging baskets, and garden borders. Topping out from six inches to a foot tall and about as wide, 'Lucia Dark Blue' serves as a filler and if planted on the edge of containers, a bit of a spiller. Its small foliage and profuse blooms makes it a wonderful companion plant to other annuals or mixed in with summer-blooming perennials. If it gets a bit ragged, simply give it a light trim. Regular water, fertilizer and lots of sun will keep these baby blues looking bright throughout the summer.
