Lavandula 'Ellagance Purple' 1 Gallon

English lavender is often the go-to option for gardeners who seek plants with a year-round presence for sunny yards, and with minimal fuss. Drought tolerant once established, usually shunned by deer and rabbits, and attractive to bees and other pollinators, lavender comes in a range of sizes with varying degrees of hardiness. 'Ellegance Purple' is a more compact specimen, growing no more than 18 inches tall and spreading up to a foot wide, and handles our Pacific NW winters with ease. Good drainage is a must, so using 'Ellagance Purple' in container planters is a smart choice. Deadheading spent blooms may encourage a second flush of flowers in late summer, and lightly trimming the foliage in the fall will help keep the plant looking its best. Don't throw away the flowers or trimmings - both can be used in potpourris, or added to beverages.
