Product Description
Though named English Lavender, this winter hardy plant is native to the Mediterranean and thus does well in dry, sunny locations. Use it on hillsides, in parking strips, or anywhere the hose won't reach because once established, lavender is drought tolerant, and actually prefers to be underwatered rather than overwatered. Deer shun this fragrant plant but bees, butterflies and hummingbirds flock to it, so plant it near your vegetable garden to attract the pollinators. 'Munstead' is a smaller variety of lavender and takes well to container planters. Grow it on your patio so you can enjoy the fragrance.
