You could go hard-core and make your own kokedama, but this is much easier. Simply pick your plant, fill the pre-constructed ball with soil, and pop in your plant. Ta da!

The Japanese word, kokedama, literally translates to moss ball in English, but there is an art form surrounding the making of these. We respect the tradition, but frankly, these ready-made kokedama are much easier to use. We planted a six-inch ball with a Syngonium, and that house plant grew happily for several years before having to upgrade its home. Water the ball by soaking it in water until saturated, then leave it alone until dry (it will be much lighter in weight). Kokedama may be hung up or placed on a saucer. It may require some pebbles or small rocks to stabilize the ball in a saucer, but that actually adds to the look.

Size: Balls are either 4" or 6" deep. 4" deep has 2.75" opening, 6" deep has 4" opening. Both are 21" long from top of hook to bottom of ball.
