Ilex x 'Scallywag' 1 Gallon

Many gardeners equate holly with tree-like shrubs bearing red berries and big prickly leaves, but the Ilex family has a diverse range of shrubs that are excellent evergreen foundation plants for smaller spaces. Topping out at four feet in height and three feet in width, Scallywag Holly is a great option for a low-growing hedge, an attractive foundation plant, or for hiding unsightly utility boxes. Its small glossy green leaves, dense structure and slower rate of growth also make Scallywag Holly a great choice for large container planters and hanging baskets for year-round good looks. Late springtime flowers attract pollinators but they do not form berries.
