Product Description
The Chameleon plant is not often seen in Pacific NW gardens, but will immediately catch one's eye with its pink, green, and cream colored foliage. Depending upon the exposure and growing conditions, Houttuynia (pronounced hoot-TINY-ya) can grow anywhere from six to 18 inches tall, and if not contained, will spread indefinitely. Need to fill in a parking strip? Consider using the Chameleon Plant. It does die down in the winter, but will come back vigorously in the spring. Consider planting houttuynia in pots and sinking them along pond edges; they handle standing water with ease. Sun will bring out the best coloring in the Chameleon Plant, but it will tolerate shady locations.
