Hosta 'Dancing Darling' Quart

For avid gardeners, spotting hosta sprouts emerging from the ground or container planters is almost as exciting as seeing those first spring flowers because they know that warmer days are finally coming. It will be hard to miss 'Dancing Darling' plantain lilies because of the green-edged, shocking yellow foliage. Heavily veined, pointed leaves form stunning mounds of gold about 18 inches tall and two to three feet across at maturity. Lavender flower stalks will attract hummingbirds when they pop up in mid-summer, adding to this hosta's charm. The golden yellow, textured foliage will be a gorgeous addition to container planters and hanging baskets for a season or two before moving the plant out into the shade garden. Consider using 'Dancing Darling' for middle-of-the-border background foliage for shade blooming annuals, or mix in with other summer blooming perennials.
