Product Description
Hemizygia 'Candy Kisses' is a distant relative of coleus plants, and its variegated matte-green leaves do resemble those outdoor plants. Also known as Wild Sage, this perennial may be grown indoors for year-round interest, growing into a mound about a foot tall and wide. The creamy edges may take on a pink tinge, and if the conditions are right, 'Candy Kisses' will send up spikes of pink flowers (similar to sage flowers) in the winter. So what are the right conditions? Lots of indirect light, such as that from south- or west-facing windows, and watering thoroughly when the top soil is dry. Though we couldn't confirm this plant's toxicity, as a member of the same family as coleuses, play it safe and consider this one unhealthy for pets and humans.
