Epiphyllum anguliger 'Ric Rac' Quart

We admit, this Ric Rac Cactus is odd looking in its little pot, but as is true of "late bloomers," this succulent will eventually fill out to be a striking indoor specimen, whether in a table planter or better yet, in a hanging basket. Those upright "fish bone" stems can grow up to two feet long, and will gradually start to trail downward. New growth will emerge from the base, sides, and ends of the stems, creating a rounded mound of green foliage. It's common name of Ric Rac Orchid Cactus may get an owner's hopes up that it will bloom, but patience and ideal conditions are required for that to happen. Flowers typically appear after three years' of growth, and only if the plant receives plenty of indirect light, has well draining soil, and humidity is high. Hope springs eternal!
