Echinacea 'Kismet Intense Orange'

Coneflowers are one of the nursery's favorite summertime perennials due not only to its visual appeal, but its easy-care nature and attractiveness to birds and pollinators as well. 'Kismet Intense Orange' produces large, stunning orange flowers with chocolate cones on a shorter, more compact mound of foliage, topping out around 16 inches, but eventually spreading up to two feet wide. Coneflowers love the sun and heat, and thrive in well-draining soil, so consider planting this burst of color in rock gardens, xeriscapes, container planters or hanging baskets. Long-lasting flowers attract bees and butterflies, and are excellent as cut flowers. Removing flowers will promote more blooms, but please leave the end-of-season flowers on the plant, as birds will enjoy the seeds in the winter.
