It doesn't get much smaller than the Dwarf Crisped Golden-scaled Male Fern. Short, densely packed, upright fronds have a slight twist to them, adding textural interest as well as year-round greenery to hanging baskets, container planters, or along walkways and borders. This variety is hardy down to -20 degrees, but may be a bit worse for wear in extreme winter weather. Simply cut back the tired fronds in late winter for a fresh start in the spring.
