Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Vivid Cherry Charm' 6 Inch

Dianthus <em>gratianopolitanus  </em><em>'</em>Vivid Cherry Charm' is a low-growing, spreading perennial with bright fringed flowers that bloom heavily late spring to early summer, then randomly from summer to fall. Sometimes called a border carnation, this variety can add a pop of color along sunny garden paths, forming dense mounds four to six inches tall and spreading over a foot wide. This perennial is evergreen in warmer climates and may get a bit tired looking after our Pacific NW winters, but it comes back in the spring as long as it has good drainage, especially in the winter. Consider adding 'Vivid Cherry Charm' to hanging baskets or container planters so people can get up close to enjoy the spicy clove fragrance.
