Cucumber 'Burpless' 4 Inch

Burpless' cucumbers are typically thin-skinned with smaller seeds and are not bitter. They also happen to be absolutely delicious with a crisp, fresh flavor that store-bought cucumbers often lack. Trellis cucumber plants to save garden space and make harvesting easier. Water deeply when the soil is dry, and consider planting bee-attracting flowers nearby to improve yields. Male flowers appear first on long vines in order to attract pollinators, then female flowers emerge to form the fruits, so the more bees, the more cucumbers.

Culinary Uses: Fresh in salads, on sandwiches, and appetizer trays. Smaller fruits may be pickled.

Harvest Time: 55 - 65 days

Mature Size: Vines grow 3 - 4 feet long, trellis for best results. Fruits are optimal when harvested 8" - 9" long.
