Product Description
Originating from Australia, one would assume 'Red Star' dracaena is a drought-tolerant specimen, but it really looks its best when watered deeply when dry. Also known as a Cabbage Palm, 'Red Star' may grow to eight feet tall in warmer winter climates, but here in the Pacific NW, expect this specimen to reach three to five feet tall and two to three feet wide. The strap-like leaves keep that beautiful burgundy coloring year round, though it may be best to move 'Red Star' under cover in extreme cold, or plant in a sheltered but sunny spot in the garden.
