Nicknamed Green and Gold for its fresh green, low-growing foliage, and cheery golden yellow blooms that appear in spring and keep going into summer.
Product Description
Product Description
Native to the southeastern U.S., Green and Gold, aka Golden Star, does very well here in the Pacific NW as a ground cover for shade gardens or all-day dappled sun. The "gold" refers to the sunny bright star-shaped flowers that appear from spring into summer, with a second round of blooms possible in the fall. This low-growing deciduous ground cover does well in dry shady spots, though some sun is needed for the best blooms. Staying under six inches tall, Green and Gold may spread one to two feet wide, making it a great trailer for container planters and hanging baskets, or along borders in the ground.
