Capsicum annuum 'Sangria' Quart

All those beautiful summer blooming baskets and container planters can get a bit ragged and tired looking by August, so consider adding fresh spots of greenery and color with ornamental peppers. 'Sangria' starts out with small white flowers that morph into narrow purple and orange peppers by the dog days of summer, then eventually turn red, right up until frost. The clean, green foliage forms a mound about a foot tall and wide, and is a great backdrop for the colorful peppers, which by the way, are edible, but not especially interesting in flavor. We also add ornamental peppers to our fall/winter baskets, providing a pop of color until pansies, asters, and mums are available.
