Product Description
A picture of the 'Flamenco' trumpet vine flower should be printed next to the word "flamboyant" in the dictionary because the large, plentiful orange/red flowers are just that. A deciduous perennial, it doesn't look like much early in the season, but give it lots of sun and a good support, and it will quickly cover an arbor, fence, or any other tall structure. 'Flamenco' looks like it should live only in warm climates, but it's hardy down to -30 degrees and can be pruned down almost to the ground in late fall, early winter, with no ill effects. In fact, it blooms only on new wood, so such aggressive pruning is a must. Needless to say, hummingbirds love the showy, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom most of the summer.
