Many of the Scotch heathers lean toward green and yellow foliage that may morph to reds or pinks in the spring or winter. 'Zilly' is in a league of its own, with lovely silvery green foliage throughout the year, only to "dress up" with pink bud blooms in late summer and into the fall. As it true of most callunas, 'Zilly' loves the sun and becomes drought tolerant once established. Line walkways with this compact variety or pop into hanging baskets for year-round interest, and give it a light trim in early spring to keep it looking its best.
