Royalty Purple' bush beans are a great option for gardeners with limited space. Compact bushes only 15" - 20" tall are prolific producers - the more you pick, the more snap beans you get. Bush beans can also be planted close together, every four to six inches, in rows 24" apart, in a sunny location. For the record, 'Royalty Purple' beans turn green when even lightly steamed. They maintain the deep purple color only when raw.
