Product Description
Here in the Pacific NW, growing tree ferns of any kind outdoors is usually a summer proposition, and requires that they be grown in containers that can be brought indoors in the winter, or moved to a sheltered location. The Brazilian Tree Fern can reach up to four feet tall at maturity and will develop a small trunk with age (as in 10 to 20 years), so is well suited for a potted life. New leaves emerge a pale pink to bronze color before turning a deep green. This Brazilian Tree Fern will add a tropical flair to outdoor summer gardens as well as year-round indoor planters. Combining this fern with other houseplants in a single planter will help create a higher humidity that most tropicals thrive in, and will add height and texture.
