Anigozanthos Kanga Kangaroo Paws

For lovers of the unusual, Kangaroo Paws may be just the perennial for you. The unique, kangaroo-paw shaped flowers rise up above erect, sword-like green foliage from late spring into summer. Native to Australia, it is drought-tolerant once established and flourishes most in full sun. The Kanga series of Anigozanthos is more compact than some of its cousins, growing one to two feet tall and wide, a perfect size for container planters and borders. Cold tolerant to about 20 degrees, Kangaroo Paws should be protected in the winter by moving containers under shelter, or treat as an annual.
