Alocasia 'Ninja' Quart

Unlike many alocasias that have heart- or arrowhead-shaped leaves, 'Ninja' has more rounded leaves that are an almost velvety dark green with thick white veins. This variety stays around 18 inches tall and spreads no more than a foot wide, so is well suited to indoor gardens, especially if space is limited. Consider using 'Ninja' as the "thriller" in an indoor planter, combining it with ferns, peperomias, or other lower growing plants. Alocasias may be grown outdoors in a summer shade garden, but when the temps drop down to the 50s at night, they need to be brought indoors for the fall and winter. Once inside, place them in a well-lit room and away from heat vents, as alocasias do best with higher humidity.
