Two-toned, lipstick-shaped flowers may bloom in late summer, provided the plant gets sufficient indirect light, adequate humidity, and deep but infrequent watering.
Product Description
Product Description
In many ways, successful indoor gardeners are true champions, often creating optimal growing conditions for plants with grow lights, humidifiers, and a lot of determination. The Lipstick plant is an epiphytic native of SE Asia, so in order to bloom, it needs well-draining soil, a lot of indirect light, and higher levels of humidity than are normal for most homes. The payoff may well be worth it, especially with the two-toned, red and orange flowers of this 'Bolero Bicolore.' If conditions aren't right for summer flowers, the variegated leaves of this trailing specimen still make it an attractive house plant.
