Abies koreana 'Ice Breaker' 1 Gallon

In spite of its small size, this Korean fir has caught the eye of many visitors to the nursery, due to its unusual recurved needles that seem to twist up and around themselves, revealing the startlingly white, waxy undersides. Almost painfully slow growing, 'Ice Breaker' (aka 'Kahout's Ice Breaker) is a natural for a container planter or bonsai, providing year-round interest in smaller gardens. It may reach one and one-half to two feet in height at the 10-year mark, morphing from a rounded shape to a pyramidal form only three feet wide. Hardy enough to withstand Pacific NW winters, 'Ice Breaker' needs lots of sun and regular watering, and not much else.
