Product Description
It's a bit confusing that this dainty, blue-flowered ground cover has been given so many botanical names - Pratia pedunculata, Isotoma fluviatilis, Laurentia fluviatilis. Are all these plants in fact the same? We're sure a botanist could tell us but when it comes to looks and growth habits, we think so. Blue Star Creeper is exactly that - a very low-growing, mat-forming perennial that has countless tiny blue star-shaped flowers from late spring through the summer. Let it creep down retaining walls or over the edges of container planters and hanging baskets. Use it to fill in between stepping stones (it can handle the foot traffic!), serve as the "lawn" for fairy gardens, or a durable ground cover for sunny spots in the garden. Blue Star Creeper handles our Pacific NW weather like a champ and is usually evergreen.
