Loropetalum chinense 'Sizzling Pink'

Chinese Fringe Flower shrubs provide an amazing shade of red to the year-round garden. New, dark purple leaves mature to a deep bronzy green, making it a dramatic backdrop for the bright pink, spidery-shaped flowers that bloom primarily in the spring, then make random appearances throughout the year. Left to its own devices, this evergreen shrub will form a rounded shape four to six feet tall and up to five feet wide. It can be used as an informal hedge, shaped into tree form, or as a topiary, but usually requires little pruning.
