'Burgundy Candy' Ninebark provides color and contrast to spring and summer gardens. This compact, upright deciduous shrub develops reddish fruits from clusters of white flowers that bloom in the spring, and stand out against the serrated, burgundy foliage. Once established, Burgundy Candy Ninebark is fairly drought tolerant, and has a peeling, papery bark for added interest in the fall and winter. Ninebark does best in full sun (that is, at least six hours per day) and with watering from below, as this plant's beautiful burgundy foliage is susceptible to powdery mildew.
