Horsetail's evergreen, vertical foliage resembles bamboo stems, with dark bands at each node. It does well in boggy areas of the garden where nothing else will grow, and looks fabulous around ponds and water features. It's virtually indestructible, with the smallest pieces of underground rhizomes generating new plants. We strongly recommend growing Horsetail in container planters to prevent unwanted spread.
