Buxus 'Winter Gem' Globe 5 Gallon

Often referred to as Korean Boxwood, this variety is a bit smaller and slower in growth than other boxwoods, making 'Winter Gem' a terrific topiary choice that does well in the ground or in large container planters. Adaptable to sunny or partly sunny gardens, this globe-shaped box provides year-round interest. Pruning is required to maintain the tidy rounded shape. Wait until after the average last spring frost date for your area before pruning in the spring to prevent tender new growth from freezing. Periodic trimming during the growing season will maintain the shape of this boxwood.
