Although named in honor of that infamous bunny, Peter Cottontail, this evergreen ground cover is allegedly resistant to rabbits and deer. 'Cotton Tail' thrift is also tolerant of salt, so it does well in coastal settings as well as any areas, such as sidewalks and steps, that may be salted due to ice. Otherwise, plant this tidy ground cover in sunny borders, hanging baskets, or container planters where its cute flowers can be enjoyed. Deadheading spent blooms will encourage a longer blooming period.
